Eudora man pleads not guilty to horse abuse

A Eudora man pled not guilty to allegations of animal cruelty Monday afternoon.

John Steffen was arrested for neglecting a pony.

A Lawrence Humane Society officials said the animal's hooves were extremely overgrown, to the point the pony could barely walk.

Steffen has been out of jail on bond and appeared in court for his arraignment Monday.
