University of Kansas' students and staff will take an additional course this month to combat sexual harassment on college campuses.
The required online course takes about 20 minutes to complete and is due Oct. 5. Nearly one in four college women are sexually assaulted or harassed in their academic career. A recent KU survey found that 80 percent of its students do not know how to properly report a harassment complaint.
If the course is successful, the university hopes to implement it offline at events such as new student orientation.
