Free State actor prepares to graduate
Lawrence- 18-year-old Sarah Atkinson is the April Art Star. Atkinson is a senior at Free State High School where she maintains a 3.08 GPA and plans to attend KU where she will study Theatre Performance. Atkinson is a natural when it comes to acting. She has held roles in Rapunzel, Rent and Bye Bye Birdie. Later in life, she says she would like to become a theatre actor and work behind the scenes in plays.
“It would be totally fine for me if I'm not a superstar but if could just incorporate the arts and theater and acting in my life, then I would be so happy with that,” says Atkinson.
