Flash mob erupts at Border Showdown
Lawrence - A triumphant win wasn't the only thing Jayhawk fans were treated to at the Border Showdown against Missouri Monday night. A flash mob erupted in dance during the game.
The flash mob at Allen Fieldhouse was organized by KU Athletics and students who participate in the Jayhawk Buddy System. The KU Spirit Squad choreographed the dance moves, and students participated in three rehearsals the week before the game.
The University says the Jayhawk Buddy System is a campaign that aims to promote smart decision making. The program encourages students to look out for one another and intervene when a friend is in a potentially damaging situation.
