Hundreds fill South Park for Dogtober Fest
LAWRENCE - For the second year in a row, Lawrence residents take their dogs to the park for Dogtober Fest. The event held Sunday afternoon, featured everything for dog lovers and their pets. It was emceed by The Not So Late Show host Mike Anderson.
"The purpose of the Dogtober Fest is really raise awareness for the Lawrence Humane Society and also to celebrate dog lovers," Anderson said. "Lawrence is full of dog lovers; we've got some wonderful parks, so why not bring some people in here to talk to other dog owners."
Dogtober Fest serves as a fundraiser for the Humane Society and the Lawrence Community Shelter.
