Lawrence animal shelter needs help, has cat overflow
Lawrence - The Lawrence Humane Society has experienced a recent surge in cats and needs help from the community to find homes for the animals.
The shelter says animals are at increased risk of illness during an overflow such as this one. Right now they have more than 200 adoptable cats and kittens. The shelter will be waiving all adoption fees effective immediately in order to find homes for the cats.
Regular adoption eligibility requirements still apply, and a refundable spay/neuter deposit will be required.
