Lawrence landmark celebrates a century
Lawrence- Liberty Hall will celebrate 100 years this week. The movie house, theatre and community event venue is a staple in the Lawrence community and many legends have performed there over the years.
“Almost everyday someone comes in and says we used to come here when it was the Red Dog Inn in the 60's and everybody from Ike and Tina on down the line has performed here,” says event planner Rob Fitzgerald.
Thursday and Friday the venue will celebrate its’ 100 year anniversary with a sold out concert, “The Flaming Lips. Friday is a block party for the public.
