Lawrence - A Cadillac that you can write on with chalk and a car with hundreds of beer bottle caps glued to it are just a couple of the art cars that will be on display this Saturday during the ‘Art Tougeau Parade’. The car’s owner and parade president, Pat Slimmer says the cars get more and more creative every year.
“There are two cars coming from Florida and are painted and they are really interesting and then there’s two cars from Minneapolis that are painted and there’s a lipstick car,” says Slimmer.
Saturday will be the 15th annual parade and it begins at noon in front of the Lawrence Arts Center. Slimmer says there’s still time to decorate your car and be a part of the parade. He also encourages people to decorate their bikes and ride downtown for the fun.
