Raised on a robust diet of MTV, reality television, and Die Hard movies, I found I had the makings of a true thoroughbred videographer at a young age. I grew up in Overland Park, KS with my parents and younger brother, Bronco, and moved to Lawrence in 2002 to attend the University of Kansas.
Studying film at KU, I spent a great deal of my time directing and editing music videos for some great local acts like White Flight, Fourth of July, and 1,000,000 Light Years. After receiving my proof of purchase from KU, I began working and playing in bands to make ends meat. In 2004, I purchased my own video camera and snuck into a sold out Arcade Fire show. The Turnpike crew happened to be covering the same show, and my footage made it into the episode.
I shot video for the show pro bono for several years until 2009 year when I was asked to start producing The Turnpike on my own. I am happy to work in such a friendly work environment and to have the opportunity to expose Lawrence to some great music.
Feel free to drop me a line regarding any upcoming concerts or bands you would like to see on the show!
