One prepster stood above the rest this month when it comes to athletics and academics. On the hardwood at Free State, this Firebird plays a vital role in the starting lineup. Since falling to Olathe South in the season opener 35-14, it's been all good for the Free State High Football team. This Thursday, Bob Lisher's squad hits the road in search of its fifth straight victory.
September Student Athlete of the Month
This September, we honor one of the hardest working prepsters in 6-A athletics. Not only is this firebird the point guard of the girls basketball team, but she's also focused on earning a college scholarship for track and cross country.
