Former University of Kansas baskebtall player Marcus Morris was ticketed early Sunday following a fight inside a Lawrence bar. The current Houston Rockets player was in town for the final Border War matchup between Kansas and the University of Missouri.
Officers were called at 2:37 a.m. Sunday to The Cave, a bar located in the lower level of The Oread, 1200 Oread. Morris, 22, was one of two men ticketed following the dispute.
"A male employee was allegedly punched by another man after a verbal dispute turned physical," said Kim Murphree, police spokeswoman. "Another man allegedly punched the employee from behind."
Morris and his twin brother Markieff were in attendance at Saturday afternoon's basketball game.
Marcus Morris is scheduled to appear March 20 in Lawrence Municipal Court, according to court records.
