June 14th Forecast

Douglas county is under a severe thunderstorm watch until 2 AM Friday morning.

Thursday Night:  While the evening will remain mostly dry, we are looking at the possibility of thunderstorms well after midnight.   Most storms are expected after 2 AM for this area, with the vast majority being the run-of-the-mill type of storms.   There is a possibility for a select few of these storms to have enough energy to produce large hail and damaging wind.  A few of these showers could linger into the morning commute Friday before clearing by mid-morning.  That chance of rain and extra clouds will hamper our daytime highs somewhat and leave us at a sultry 89°.  Winds will be out of the south between 5-15 mph.  Our skies will continue to clear toward the evening with an overnight low of 71°.
